These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at nutleypainters.com ("Site") operated by LS Improvements ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

About Our Services

LS Improvements is a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) providing residential and light commercial painting services — including interior, exterior, cabinet, and commercial painting — across Essex, Union, Passaic, and Bergen counties.

Estimates and Contracts

Our written estimates represent good-faith proposals based on the information available at the walkthrough. Final contracts are executed in writing and include scope, prep steps, products, pricing, schedule, and warranty terms. Work is performed under a signed proposal that complies with NJ HIC requirements.

Licensing and Insurance

We maintain:

  • New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) registration
  • General liability insurance (certificates available on request)
  • Workers' compensation insurance for employees
  • EPA Lead-Safe (RRP) certification for pre-1978 renovation work

Payment and Warranty

Payment terms are specified in each signed proposal. Standard residential warranty:

  • Interior painting: 2-year workmanship warranty
  • Exterior painting: 3-year workmanship warranty
  • Cabinet refinishing: 3-year workmanship warranty

Warranty covers premature failure due to our application (peeling, blistering). Product manufacturer warranties remain with the manufacturer.
